Reflections in Portofino

For some reason the harbour is really dark in Portofino, which makes the reflections really saturated. This is helped by the fact that many of the houses in Liguria are painted with tompe-l’oeil facades giving the artist beautiful terra cotta tones and details to paint. It is shown here while I was finishing it in my studio. This painting is really stunning when it is hung; at the moment it is hung in our hall (the third Picture).
