Canal de la Robine

The Canal de la Robine joins the Canal du Midi to the sea at Port La nouvelle. It passes through the centre of Narbonne and is crossed by a bridge complete with shops on both sides so you have no idea that you are actually crossing the canal. These reflections are from under that bridge. The painting uses Liquitex paint with lots of thinner to give transparent but powerful and saturated colours. There are mainy layers of paint and lots of intricate details.
