On a summer evening when there has not been a hint of wind all day and there is not a cloud in the sky the evenings can be completely pink and incredably calm. The surface of the etang has settled in to a perfect mirror of the sky. The second picture shows how the transparence of acrylic paint allows it to express details that are becoming lost in the evening haze.
